Respiration

Respiratory System. The Respiratory system is in charge of our breathing. The main part in our system is our lungs but the left lung is smaller because our heart is located on the left and it needs space to pump. There are a couple of parts of the respiratory system they are: lungs, alveoli, pleura, diaphragm, pharynx, larynx, bronchiole tubes, bronchi, nasal cavity. We have air sacs on our lungs we have about 300,000,000 Alveoli ( air sacs) in each lung. These are some facts for you. We breath in oxygen and blood is pumped to the lungs to pick up the oxygen and carry it to the rest of the body. Blood brings back carbon dioxide and drops in the lungs where we exhale it.
